Okay so this is something I’ve been working on for the better part of a week with like no pre-planning at all
My girlfriend is really fond of glass and one day when I was goofing around I remembered we had quite a bit collected. It was supposed to be for a glass house we would build when we explored the land a bit, but that fell through when we had other things to do. In the mean time, I explored the land on my own a bit and came across the Nether and, as a result, glowstone. I mixed my interest in glowstone with Ari’s interest in glass to create what you see now.
I took the stockpiled glass and built a base and kind of winged it from there. The original structure looked somewhat like a mushroom, being just a tower to an observation area above. That was almost going to be the final part before I thought I could make room for two more floors, which I began working on quickly.
Glass and glowstone are both not that difficult to find, but annoying and slightly tedious to gather, so I spent a lot of time digging up tons of sand from the area as well as making ventures into the Nether for glowstone. I have also had quite a few close calls with some creepers, but miraculously, no damage done!
After having it crafted I would set to work on the near-final product you see now.
The first two floors are just regular rooms, the third is an observation/storage/crafting area, a “fourth floor” houses water that drains down through the bottom three floors, and the top floor which serves as a more open look out, but what I fully intend to do with it is still up in the air. I will definitely need more glowstone to fill in the regular cobblestone I have at the moment, though.
This isn’t the most fantastic thing ever built in Minecraft, but it’s my first extensive project in Beta and it was for someone I love very dearly.
I’m not very good at many things, honestly, but I like to think I am good at building. And for Ari, I would build anything in the world.
Completed another section of ‘The City’ on our server.

There’s still a fair bit more to do, I’m finalizing the plans for the next bit now.

I’ll get a better shot after I demolish Pie’s house since she never gets on my server anymore and I need that plot of land for something else anyway.

Finally finished my pixel art Yoshi on Minecraft!
It’s taken me hours to complete! Mainly because I started it and messed up a big chunk of it which messed up the rest so I got annoyed and then started again and this time it turned out a lot better than my previous one
Admittedly it’s not perfect because it’s the first pixel picture i’ve done on minecraft and I keep seeing faults with it and having to redo parts! but hey, it’s a start and I’m quite happy with it for how it turned out for a first try:P
